Sony's PlayStation VR is coming in October

Sony will release over 50 games with its virtual reality headset which will debut in North America on October 13th.

After seven long years, the “Last Guardian” is finally coming to the PS4.

The game, which will be available on October 25th, is the final chapter in the trilogy that started with “Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.” It tells the story of a boy who’s been kidnapped and abandoned in ancient ruins. With the help of Trico, a bird-dog type creature, he tries to escape.

Sony also announced a release date for the Playstation VR virtual reality headset. It’s scheduled to debut in North America on October 13th and will cost $399. The system will work with the PS4 and players will be able to choose from over 50 virtual reality titles.

Missing from Sony’s E3 revelations…a new console system codenamed: “Playstation 4 Neo.” Sony has previously said the new console will be a more powerful version of the PS4. The console will likely support 4K and be optimized to support VR, but we don’t know when it’s coming.

Microsoft is bringing 4K to two new consoles. The Xbox One S will handle 4K video, and “Project Scorpio,” a completely new console will support 4k gaming and VR. Project Scorpio is scheduled to come out by the end of 2017.
