RoboGlove returns to Earth

NASA's RoboGlove is coming back to Earth as a commercial product made by GM.

RoboGlove Returns to Earth

GM built Robonaut 2 for NASA

With hands capable of using tools designed for humans

That technology came back to Earth as RoboGlove

Leading-edge sensors, actuators and tendons that are comparable to the nerves, muscles and tendons in a human hand

And now it’s going commercial

The next-gen RoboGlove can reduce the force a worker needs to exert when operating a tool for an extended time or with repetitive motions

It will be manufactured by GM and sold by Sweden’s Bioservo

Uses include medical rehabilitation and any place additional gripping strength is needed

Another example of space research improving life on Earth
